The DESS Dental team attended the global CAD/CAM event "Exocad Insights 2022" on the 3rd and 4th of October at the Congress Centre in Palma de Mallorca. The event was organised by Exocad, and brought together dentists, dental technicians and dental professionals from Europe, America, Asia, Africa and Australia, among others.

Last week we had the pleasure to host the visit of Novus Dental, our distributor in Norway, together with several of their prosthodontic customers. A great opportunity for them to get to know DESS Dental and the team behind it.

We present the new screwdriver handle for dentists, with this new version we wanted to reinforce two important aspects of the DESS screwdriver dentist handle: the retention of the screwdriver tips and the ease of cleaning and sterilisation of the product.

A new version of DESS Dental CAD/CAM libraries with the NT-Trading scan bodies for 3Shape. This new version has been launched with the aim that our customers could use NT-Trading scan bodies and 3rd party scan abutments such as Straumann, Elos, Atlantis, and others through our digital workflow, without purchasing an additional DESS Dental scan body.

Our management team has signed an equipment acquisition contract with both Tornos S.A. and Egasca S.A., both leading and recognised suppliers of lathes for the machining of precision parts.

Our ESG Manager, Mireia Corral, attended the Business with Social Value 2022 event. BWSV event is a solidarity initiative in which visibility is given to all those companies, institutions, and social organisations that have more than 70% of people with disabilities or at risk of social exclusion in their workforces. The products and services of the Special Work Centres and non-profit labour insertion companies were presented to other interested companies or profit-making institutions.

Salva Soriano retires after 51 years of work at Terrats Medical and today we want to look back on his career in the company, where he has worked with three generations of Terrats.

We’ve launched an updated version of our 3Shape libraries for Ti Bases and AURUMBase with a tighter cement gap. You can download them for free from the Downloads section with CE and FDA encryption.

In 2020, DESS Dental collaborated on several charity projects for different foundations and ONGs. Among them, in December of that year, we made a donation of €3,000 to the Vicente Ferrer Foundation for the project to build an Angawadi – an educational and primary care centre in India.

We enjoyed a visit from our Saudi Arabian distributor, Amasi Altamaioz, with their dentists and dental prosthetic customers. It was a great opportunity for them to participate in a Digital Product and Workflow training session.
