DESS® impression transfers for dental implants
Impression transfers for dental implants transfer the exact position of the implant in the patient's mouth and the relationship to the rest of the teeth. The DESS® Dental impression transfer is made of AiSi 303 stainless steel, and the same component can be used in both the open and closed tray technique as both screws are supplied in the same package.
DESS® Dental transfers for dental implants
The smooth shapes of the DESS® impression transfer allow it to be used for both open and closed trays. It has been designed with a flat face for improved retention in the model and one of its main features is the grooves that allow them to be easily splinted together, thus achieving greater implant precision once the tray is removed from the mouth.
The screw for closed tray use is used with the indirect method, has a minimal emergence to allow use in small mouth openings and is made of Titanium Grade V ELI. Large flat dimensions facilitate easy and safe repositioning in the closed tray impression.
The screw head for open-tray use has three tightening systems for greater reliability in implant impression–splines for direct hand tightening, hex, UG, or Torx® screw head and cut for use with a clinical spatula for extreme locations.

The transfers’ screw head has been designed to be used by different methods–system-specific tip, flat tool or spatula and manually.
