DESS Dental has signed a collaboration agreement with PEJOAN School

DESS Dental has established a partnership with PEJOAN School, with the aim of providing the necessary resources to all those students who are studying the Higher Degree in Dental Prosthetics or the CAD/CAM Exocad course.

This collaboration begins with the donation by DESS Dental of a Medit 3D Identica T500 scanner valued at €13,000. On 25 April 2022, the 3D scanner was donated by our CEO Roger Terrats to the brothers Carlos Pejoan and Jaume Pejoan, who received it on behalf of PEJOAN School.

Within the framework of the collaboration, several actions will be carried out, namely, an annual visit of the students of the Superior Degree to the DESS Dental facilities, exchange of knowledge, practical cases of Exocad by the students with the DESS libraries, and the purchase of dental abutments for the laboratory practices, among others.

PEJOAN School is an academic institution in Barcelona with more than 30 years of history. In 2021, they founded PEJOAN Dental Laboratory, where their students can interact with the latest dental technology and enter a professional environment. In addition, they have two dental clinics in Barcelona, and most of the employees here come from the school.

The 3D scanner is a great tool for students in the Dental Prosthetics course and the CAD/CAM course in prosthetic tooth fabrication. It will enable them to develop their training by designing, modelling, or scanning CAD/CAM solutions with guaranteed accuracy and improved productivity. Its software allows users to use the scanner quickly and easily, offering the possibility to scan a full arch in 12 seconds and 6 dies in 19 seconds.

We are very proud to have closed this collaboration. We hope that the students of PEJOAN School will be able to design great projects and that the scanner will be of great help to them throughout their training.
