DESS Dental donates to OXFAM by sponsoring MIURA Partners’ participation in OXFAM Trailwalker Girona 2023.

MIURA Partners, DESS Dental’s shareholder since 2020, is participating in this year’s 100 km OXFAM Trailwalker race, taking place on May 6th and 7th, and DESS Dental is sponsoring their participation with a €5,000 donation.

OXFAM Trailwalker is more than just a race, it's a team effort for a cause. The challenge involves covering 100 km in 32 hours, 55 km in 16 hours, or 10 km in 4 hours, with the goal of fighting the inequality caused by the climate crisis. By raising funds through this event, OXFAM can help respond to humanitarian emergencies caused by climate change and support people living in poverty. To date, Trailwalker participants have collectively raised an impressive 261,486.28 €, a testament to their unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the world.

Miura Partners' team, MIURA & FRIENDS, led by Carlos Julià, is composed of four members: Amaia, Guillem, Jaume and Carlos, with the support of Carles and Jordi. The team is actively engaged in rigorous training sessions to prepare for the demanding 100-kilometer hike across Girona, located in the northern part of Catalonia.

Like all teams participating in the OXFAM Trailwalker, MIURA & FRIENDS is committed to raising funds for OXFAM's humanitarian programs. The team is using their participation in the event as a way to raise awareness about the importance of humanitarian work and to encourage others to support OXFAM's programs. As of today, the team has raised a total of €30,000.

The funds raised by MIURA & FRIENDS and all the other teams participating in the OXFAM Trailwalker will be used to support OXFAM's work in providing clean water, sanitation, education, and other essential services to communities in need around the world. OXFAM works in over 90 countries, responding to emergencies and supporting long-term development programs that help people lift themselves out of poverty and build a better future for themselves and their families.
