We have chosen DESS® ELLIPTIBase® to start this article series of product portraits since we have identified the need for a solution for narrow interdental spaces, and ELLIPTIBase® is the optimal solution in these situations.

Its innovative elliptical and narrow design, with a 22% size reduction compared to a standard Ti-Base, makes it the best prosthetic solution for cases with limited interdental space, as it allows it to adapt to the geometry of the mouth and increase the space for the restorative material whilst maintaining almost the same cementation area.

  • Zirconium Nitride (ZrN) coating.

The ZrN coating is an enhancement surface treatment that improves the overall mechanical resistance and helps reduce inflammation and plaque adhesion, therefore the chances of periimplantitis are significantly lower. Furthermore, ZrN’s warm gold hue has aesthetic advantages compared to the titanium grey.

  • SelectGrip® surface: increases bonding retention up 500%.

DESS Dental applies the sandblasting treatment during the manufacturing process, achieving a perfect finish with no risk for damages to critical surfaces that cannot be obtained in a laboratory, which results in a considerably superior bonding retention.

Our ELLIPTIBase® is fully adapted to the digital workflow and is available with DESS® libraries, which are compatible with 3Shape®, Exocad®, and Dental Wings® software.

  • Dual orientation for clinical adaptation.

The ELLIPTIBase® elliptical shape is offered both oriented to the flat surface or the corner of the implant connection, thus adapting to its final positioning.
